Now a message with some great news from Swanson……
Hello everyone, wanted to thank each and everyone of you who turned out on Saturday for Pee Wee’s 9th festival! We had great weather the whole day…not too hot, not too humid.
I wanted to let everyone know first of all that I received some fantastic news from Rachel Sylvester yesterday on the phone. Rachel told me that with help, Danielle was able to stand up and get around a little. She had some pain doing it, but her doctor’s think she’ll make a full recovery in time. Danielle Crocker was riding the beginner teeter-totter in the “stunt’s” area when her wheel dropped off of the edge of the teeter, and she fell on her head. She fell so quickly, that she didn’t have time to put her arms out, or try to roll. Thanks to the Lincloln Co. rescue squad workers, she was stabilized and taken to the local hospital and examined.
From the Lincoln Co. hospital Danielle was transferred to Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte to receive better care than could be provided at Lincolnton. She is in room 9932 if you would like to send a card or well wishes and love. Danielle’s parents, Matt (her boyfriend), Rachel and Eddie Sylvester, and myself, would like to thank everyone who sent me there concerns, questions, and thoughts on Danielle’s condition and status. It really lets someone feel better knowing there are people out there who care for your well-being!
Thanks folks for all the hard work, and for making Pee Wee’s Memorial Mountain Bike Festival a great event this year!!! I would like to thank Linda Morrison, Peemer, Clark’s Bicycle Center, Blood, Sweat, and Gears, ASECO (David Tramble), Quality Bicycle Products, J and B Imports, Giant Bicycles, Haro Bicycles, Electra Bicycles, Park Tool, Bell/Giro Helmets, Dakine, Cliff Bar, Serfas, FAKE I.D., and last, but not least….Y O U!!!!

I talked with Danielle this past week, and she told me that she was getting around pretty well…all things considered. She will have a doctor’s visit near the end of this month. She’s able to walk around without the aid of a walker, but she said she’s still a little sore. Please keep her in your thoughts. I’ll let you know how her condition improves as it developes.
