One Hell of a Try….

Saturday seemed to be about the best riding weather you could ask for. Low 70’s and sunny. Necker wanted to hit up SMP. Those of you that know the trail, well you konw that you’re wasting your time if you ride it when its wet. He’d been mentioning occasionally that he’d like to give the entrance line another run. No one has ever cleaned this line. It has been attempted a handful of times by a few and every time has ended in a gnarly crash. Not just your general pile up into the soft rhodos, but a gnarly crash. The roots were dry, the dirt was slightly damp enough to give a bit of tack and there were no leaves on the ground. Welp, this is about as good as its gonna get. Necker scouted out his line he wanted to take and hiked back up to the top.  You can just watch from here on out. This kind of wreck kind of puts a damper on making you want to hit up the rest of the gnarly lines that follow. Unfortunately this is the first line of the day on the link-up. No time to warm up at all. Enjoy.

Even if you could make it, how would you ever slow down before the cliffs? That’s got to be the gnarest line ever.

and as ya’ll know….the video does no justice as to how steep that really is….when he went over the bars i’d say he went a good 15 feet down before he hit the ground…..tough little fucker.

Damn kids. The video does not do any justice as to how steep this really is. I’ve always wanted to ride just because it’s so hard to walk down, but fuck that. You the man for even havin the balls to try it.

Yeah I think Willy or I was the first to attempt & WRECK our asses off on the SMP steeps! Necker way to giver man. That line loves to eat bikes & riders! Like Willy said, even if you do make it to the turn there is a big ass cliff waiting to take you to the Reaper.
