A Sad Day For Sure

November 11th, 2007 · Posted by Moron · No Comments

I just got a sad email from Swanson, as I’m sure alot of you did as well. Sam Teague of Hickory has died. Most of you probably just knew him as Sam. He worked at the Toy Store that was adjoined to the bike shop for almost 50 years. Heres the email I got from Swanson.

Samuel Boone Teague died this weekend. You know “Sam” of Clark’s Toyland. Yeah, that Sam. Whoa! Can you think of how many smiles this man brought upon the faces of toddlers to adults…How many of you reading this may have gotten their first bike, or tricycle, or game, or toy there. He worked at Clark’s for almost 50 years! Here’s what the Hickory Daily Record had on their obituaries page. Funeral arrangements are at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home in Hickory, N.C. Please wish their family hope and strength in this time of their sorrow. If you didn’t know it…Sam loved bluegrass music…he’s up there hearing some of the best now. Goodbye Sam, for now.

Here is a link to the obituary as well as the Funeral arrangements.
